Concert guitar programs can constitute many historical eras and genres. Classical guitar repertoire encompasses early music from Spain's Siglo de Oro, and love songs and dances from Elizabethan England, Baroque masterpieces by Bach, guitar composer contemporaries of Beethoven and Mozart, romantic miniatures from Spanish masters, adventurous music from the 20th century and traditionally rooted songs and dances from the Americas.
